Gotcha day March 28th, 2006

We drove to the Civil Affairs building, knowing our babies were there waiting on us. It was a short drive, but felt very long. And when we arrived it seemed like an eternity for the elevator.
When we finally got in the room, it was chaos. A good chaos. There were babies in walkers, babies in parents arms, parents crying, babies crying.
We saw Micah immediately. We were the last family to receive our baby, but that was okay. It gave Daddy a chance to get the camera ready. The orphanage worker placed her in my arms, and I started to cry. Milana was at my feet saying, "Let me hold Micah, mommy!" And, Michael was able to get it all on tape. I let Milana hold Micah, with my help. Micah is a big girl! Her cheeks are as full as they look. It is like two little pillows on her face. We love to nuzzle them. She didn't quite know what to think. She likes to see her big sister and watches her all the time. Milana is doing very well. She has been very patient, mostly because she is busy with all the boys on the trip. But that is another story...

We are just head over heals in love with Micah. She is funny and when she smiles and laughs her whole face just crinkles up. It makes us laugh.
It is a good trip for all of us. We are healthy and we are transitioning into a family of 4 fairly easily.
WE ARE TRULY BLESSED.
